Where do I start?

Isn't it the question that lingers in everyone's mind, when we try to start something, or when we want to do something, where do I start? A very fair question frankly. So what could be the starting point for all this GRE, GMAT or whatever that one wants to pursue. If I were a marketing person I would have said that you have reached some sort of a starting point (which is nothing but this forum), but deeply there is something more. What is it? Well the starting point is none other than YOU!Of course, you will wondering what exactly is been conveyed here, but actually it is the starting point. To be more clear, whenever something needs to be done, its not your skill that is going to help, not how much knowledge that have; all that is necessary, but there is something else which is primary in achieving whatever we want to achieve. And that is a BURNING DESIRE!. Why do I need it? Lets face a very practical example. There was a scientist named Thomas Alva Edison, famous for his electrical bulb invention and thousands of patents that followed it. Do you know exactly how many times he had to conduct the experiment to get that bulb glowing, not 1 nort 10 not 100 not 1000 but more than 10,000! Such an inspirational story. Many say its perserverance, determination, blah blah blah and all the crap! But actually it was a BURNING DESIRE! He wanted to make that bulb glow no matter what! He was doing a penance in his life. He wanted it he had it.
You might ask me how this BURNING DESIRE is going to help you in the course of you GRE, GMAT undertaking. There are lot of instances where we will fall for other’s NEGATIVE INFLUENCE. For example, you might be the dumbest guy on earth (no problem dude), so some might say that GRE, GMAT is “out of the question” for you. But let me be frank, none of the guys who make it to TOP notch universities are born geniuses. We learn by making mistakes, the biggest failure is not attempting to make them. So if you have this BURNING DESIRE, you will say to yourself, “Yes I am dumb. Yes I don’t know a lot that needs to be done, but if I take a small step everyday, I am sure I can reach”. This is called FAITH with the DESIRE. These are the two components that makes a person successful. Not your math Skills nor your Vocabulary. A mere repetition to yourself everyday “Every day in every way I am getting better and better” will make you feel better, will give you the confidence to do better.
This is a way of doing a penence. Keep that FIRE of DESIRE glowing to do develop keep speaking to yourself. That you can do well. You can’t afford to lose FAITH in your self. That my friends is the greatest asset. Keep dreaming and keep achieving and keep BELIEVING. Start fueling the FIRE of DESIRE and you will see your self transformed.
